Race For Kids Checkpoint Volunteer
The 8th Annual Race for Kids for the Boys and Girls Club of Durham will be held on Saturday June 1, 2019. The highly competitive and entertaining race is a campaign to give all kids the opportunity for a bright future. The funds raised will go towards the many programs provided for children and youth in the Durham Region. Teams of four adults (18 years and over) will compete to complete a series of fun but challenging checkpoints, similar to what would be seen in the Amazing Race, in a race to the finish line. Races will have a chance to win great prizes including a WestJet voucher for two anywhere they fly in North America for the top fundraiser and $1,000 for the team that crosses the finish line first.

The location of the race this year is in Bowmanville and the Boys and Girls Club of Durham will be partnering up with local businesses to create the checkpoint challenges.

Checkpoint Volunteers will go to their assigned checkpoint on Saturday June 1st to help set up, ensure teams complete challenges without cheating. When all the teams have checked in, or race has been called over, pack up supplies and make your way to the finish line for the Finish Line Celebration and enjoy lunch and goodies.
