The Boys and Girls of Durham is thrilled to unveil their new van which was purchased with funds raised through donations and the support of the community in a number of events.
The Boys and Girls Club of Durham were in the need of a new van for their Northview Unit after their original van was vandalized beyond repair while parked at the Northview Community Centre.
The van is used to transport children from schools to the After School Programs held at the Northview Unit of the club and to other community events. The Boys and Girls Club of Durham sough the support of the community to purchase a new van and were thrilled with the generous response of the community organizations and individuals.
The Boys and Girls Club is a non-profit, charitable organization that has been serving the community for 50 years. It provides a safe, positive and supportive environment for young people and families, and provides programs that support the healthy physical, educational, and social development of children and youth.
