Eastview Unit's After School Program

Monday to Friday
2:30pm to 6:00pm
Ages 6 to 12 year old

Starts September 5, 2017 and ends the last day of school in June 2018.

Healthy snacks are provided each day and program focus is geared toward the fun of physical activity, personal wellness and nutrition, community involvement, and positive relationships. We offer a homework club Monday to Thursday where children can work on school assigned homework.

A variety of activities are scheduled daily in the gym, games room, craft room, creative centre, and computer room. Children follow a rotation in specific age groups and will experience activities appropriate to their age group.

Leadership skills, sports, cooking, drama, interactive challenges and personal growth are just a few of the topics/activities one can experience at the club.

Thanks to the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport for funding  our After-School Program!

Torch Club
Members in Grades: 5-8

Torch is a leadership program that focuses on teamwork, communication, self-advocacy, and friendship.  We play leadership games that focus on working together and problem solving as a TEAM to achieve a common goal, as well as talking about what being a good leader and team member actually means.  Members work hard both in TORCH and throughout the club to exemplify these attributes through their attitudes and behaviours - being role models for the rest of our members.  TORCH encompasses 5 main areas; service to club and community, healthy choices, teamwork, leadership and learning for life.  This is a curriculum program offered by the Boys and Girls Club of Canada. Contact Program Director for more information.
